Gill Edwards is a painter and printmaker based in the Nottinghamshire town of Southwell. Having had a successful career in the textile industry, Gill uses her extensive knowledge of colour, pattern, and texture to inform her creative process. Her paintings and prints explore layering, masking and mark making to reflect objects found in everyday life. 

She approached us to create a new website for her business, a site that was product focused, but also a creative space that would allow visitors to be immersed in her world and practice. 

Using Squarespace, a platform that Gill was already comfortable with, we began to build a site that will promote Gill's products and workshops, while giving an insight into her wonderfully creative process.

We used Gill’s work to inspire the colours and used typography that feels timeless and is easy to read. We created a simple site structure that allows users to easily navigate through Gill's work and services, allowing them to browse products, or delve a little deeper into the fascinating world of an artist. 

The result is a site that allows Gill’s work to take centre stage, but still embodies the warmth and personality of her brand.
